effect of sperm protamine deficiency on fertilization and embryo development post -icsi
Authors
abstract
introduction: the aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of sperm protamine deficiency on fertilization and embryo development post icsi. material and methods: semen samples from 27 patients candidate for icsi were assessed for semen parameters. sperm processing was carried out using pure sperm and percentage of protamine deficient sperm was assessed by chromomycin a3 post processing. correlation between fertilization rate, embryo quality and cleavage score with protamine deficiency was assessed using spss statistical programme. results: a significant negative correlation was observed between fertilization rate and embryo quality score on day 3 with peroentage of protamine deficient sperms. conclusion: semen samples with high percentage of protamine deficient sperms have lower fertilization rate and lower potential to develop good quality embryos

Effect of sperm DNA damage and sperm protamine deficiency on fertilization and embryo development post-ICSI.
The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of sperm DNA damage and protamine deficiency on fertilization and embryo development post-intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI), and also to assess the effect of protamine deficiency on DNA damage. Semen samples were collected from 28 patients participating in the ICSI programme. Following sperm preparation and ICSI, the remaining processed sem...
full textEffect of Protamine Deficiency on Fertilization Outcome and Incidence of Sperm Premature Chromosomal Condensation Post ICSI
Purpose: After aneuploidy, sperm premature chromatin condensation (PCC) is the next most important cause of fertilization failure. Therefore the aim of this study is to evaluate the effect of sperm protamine deficiency on sperm PCC formation post ICSI. Materials and Methods: Cytogenetic analysis was carried out on unfertilized oocytes post ICSI and incidence of sperm PCC was evaluated. The resu...
full textDifferentiation Between the Effect of Protamine Deficiency and Failed Oocyte Activation on Fertilization Post ICSI
Sperm premature chromosomal condensaion (PCC) and failed oocyte activation are considered to result in failed fertilization post intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI). Recent studies also suggested that sperm protamine deficiency may induce PCC. The ain of this study was to assess the effect of failed oocyte activation and protamine deficiency on failed ferilization post ICSI and to indicate ...

Purpose: The objective of this study was to evaluate the relationship between some events that simultaneously occur during spermiogenesis, related to protamine deficiency, and acrosomal integrity with fertilization rate post ICSI. Materials and Methods: Semen samples from 68 infertile couples undergoing ICSI at Isfahan Fertility and Infertility center were assessed during this study. Semen anal...

Background The objective of this study was to evaluate the relationship between protamine deficiency, and acrosomal integrity with fertilization and pregnancy rate in patients undergone in vitro fertilization (IVF). MaterialsAndMethods Semen samples from 70 infertile couples undergoing IVF at Isfahan Fertility and Infertility center were assessed in this study. Semen analysis was carried out ac...
